Seletiva Petrobras de Surfe Masculino is a men's surfing competition which garners point totals for the competitor's year-end rating of the Brazilian Association of Surfing Professionals, Abrasp (Associação Brasileira de Surf Profissional), which tallies up surfers' total scores to determine the top 12 ranked competitors of the national surfing elite.
The project, kicked off in 2004, currently has 3 competitions in different States: Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, and Rio de Janeiro. Each of these events awards a R$40,000.00 (Fourty thousand reais) prize purse to be split among the 25 top-ranked finishers.
Additionally, the top 10 surfers in all of the three events get an invitation to Festival Petrobras de Surfe, an annual surfing festival held at the end of the year in Rio de Janeiro.
